1 Corinthians 10:13 AMP
For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.
This verse teaches us that if we get tempted to do something wrong, we ought to know that it is not too hard to resist and that God gives us a way out. But it also teaches us about trials, and that is what i want to focus on in this article. Many times in my life I thought that I would never be able to go trough a trial because I thought the pain was unbearable for me. Thank God i learned this lesson fast, and i pray that you will too. When a painful trial came, i shifted my focus on God’s Word and this verse and read it outloud many times. To read the Word outloud makes a very powerful prayer. And I also prayed outloud through Christ Jesus i can do anything and it helped a lot. That was the first phase of God teaching for me. The second (were i am now) phase of learning was even easier. I learned that i can go through a trial, walking in the Holy Spirit my mind focused on the Word and without the pain. To do so we have to cast our care on Jesus and ask Him to fill us with His peace and His joy. I am not perfect, far from it, but thank God i am not were i used to be! Now i am very confident in Christ that when a trial comes, it is only temporary, it will ultimately turn out for my good and i go through it patiently knowing that God is with me and He is in control. Be confident! No trial is too hard for you! 💖
Great post, Isabelle! … “To read the Word outloud makes a very powerful prayer.” <— This is so true! I actually do this very often because GOD'S WORD is perfect and true! Thank you for sharing this! Peace and many blessings to you, Love! 🙂
