Letting the Lord be the Lord

Ephesians 6:10 amp

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].

How many times did I try to figure out everything in my spiritual life, in fact my whole life. It was all about OK I have a problem, why do I have it and I would do anything and everything to find the solution on my own and fix it. While I am telling you that right now you have probably  guessed that I could never fix anything or I made matters worse. The Word tells us to be strong I many places. But I was never God’s intention for us to be strong apart from Him! We have to draw our strength through our union with the Lord. In other place in the Word He says The Lord will fight for you while you remain at rest. Let me put it in another way for you: If you remain in peace, choosing to put all if your faith and hope and in the Lord, being totally assured that His Word is the Truth and that His promises are real and they do come to pass in your life when you claim them in faith, that is exactly when the Lord will fight for you. When we fall we cannot at all stop doing what we are doing wrong by our own strength, it just does not work like that for the Kingdom of God. It is not our job to fix ourselves or circumstances. We have to give to Jesus what belongs to Him. In every and any situations He really wants to fight for us and He is the only one who can win. He even told me back then my attempts to control my life were simply pride for Him. The key is to let go. It is not hard to have Him fight for us. It takes only a decision that we make and we stick to it. It really did not take long after I made that decision that He gave me the gift if entering His rest (Total peace of mind). Trying to do everything on our own strength takes all our energy away. I have seen the victory of the Lord so many times in my life! I can tell you that when you believe the Lord, He will fight! It it is written that without faith it is impossible to please Him so when we commit to please Him (obey His Word), that is when He will glorify Himself in our lives, change us, change our circumstances, give us victory in every area if our lives! ❤
