He is the Potter, we are the clay

Isaiah 64:8 AMP

Yet, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our Potter, and we all are the work of Your hand.

God is our Maker. As born again Christians we are all the work if His hands. He is our Potter, we are His clay. Change can be frightening. So Jesus reminds us in His Word that God’s plans for our lives are to bless us and not to cause us harm but to bring us peace. God shows us what He wants to change before He changes it, I think it is very gracious of Him. The news is this: the more you resist the changes the less God will change your circumstances. Our God is not very interested in our circumstances but He is very much interested into changing us into the likenesses of Jesus a little a day after another. When we keep our eyes on Him and surrender to Him, He will start changing us. He knows what we need, He cares about that too, and He will provide in His perfect timing. There are many things in our life that we would like to happen very fast but God knows that we are not ready, so we have to let Him transform us to be ready for every good work He will want us to do and to bear good fruit. When I say God is not very interested in our circumstances I don’t mean that He does not care. What God does is helping us through our circumstances, giving us peace and joy if we ask for it. We always need to fix our eyes our God and then He will provide what we need. The more I follow Christ the more I realized that it is not about me, it is all about Him, and it is well with me. Even Jesus told His Father “Your will be done and not mine”. This is what we have to tell God. Yes changing can be frightening, heck I was afraid too at the beginning. Now I know it is all worth it. To change, we have to yield completely to God, walking constantly in faith and surrender. And what will you get from yielding completely to Him? Total peace of mind. When we have a deep understanding   that everything concerning us in His hands, we get peace. Let yourself be clay, you will not regret it! 💜
