Amen! Come Lord Jesus!

Hebrews 9:28 AMP

Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him.

I don’t know if you are yearning for the second coming of Jesus our Lord, Savior and King, like i do, but I bet many of you are. This verse  uses the words ” bring to full salvation”.Does that mean that we are not already fully saved? Not at all. The first time Jesus came was to reconcile us, Jews and gentiles alike, to God His Father because we are all born a sinner, as the Word says ” Not one was righteous”. We were all in need of Jesus to make us righteous through Him so when our Father looks at us, even if we are far from perfect as weak humans He actually sees us as righteous because he looks at us through Jesus. So firstly our sins were all forgiven when we gave our hearts to Jesus, all our sins, gone, a blank slate. With our relationship with Him, we grow, we learn, we are to walk in love to shine His light, not only between us but in the world also. And we are little by little changing into the likeness of our Lord. So the words “full salvation” mean being transformed into the exact likeness of Jesus, something we can never achieve in our earthly existence. His second coming has nothing to do with another forgiveness of sins, we are already fully forgiven because of Jesus’s complete work on the cross. I believe we have to be in our relationship with Him eagerly, constantly and patiently waiting for and expecting Him every day as we walk with Him like He can come at any moment. Some people focused so much on the signs of His second coming that they start to neglect their relationship with Him. If He would have wanted us to know the exact time it would be written in the Word. Yes, signs have already come true. But the important thing is to persue our relationship with Him daily striving to live peacefully and walking in love. He will come in His perfect timing like He does for everything else. 💜
