Love others, easy?

1 John 4:7-8 amp.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him]. He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love.

Love one another. Nice, Holy words. But not such an easy commandment to follow every minute of every day. Some people might have hurt us, or they might keep doing hurting us every time we see them. Some people might still carry the anger and the pain of an unimaginable  evil that has been done to them in their past. So how is it humanly possible to love everyone, born again or not? It is not possible, far from possible. By reading and studying these 2 verses we can start to know God and start the process of healing and changing. God never asked of us to love by our own strength, He knows we cannot do it on our own. The Words says love springs from God and He is actually love. He who has not become acquainted with God does not and never did know Him, for God is love. Therefore to start loving without judgments we must start knowing God by studying His Word, spend time in prayer and His presence. Everyday. Find all the verses talking about God’s love (I recommend the YouVersion Bible app. it can be downloaded in Google play it make it super easy to search the Bible in many different versions). Every time you pass in front of a mirror tell yourself God loves you. I suggest that because we cannot love others if we do not love ourselves reasonably. Learn to keep your mouth shut. That is still a hard one for me. When some one says something hurtful to you do not need to respond and fight back. Jesus when He was so close to suffer so horribly and die for us did not respond and did not fight back. We need to keep this example in mind. Walk in the Holy Spirit and ask Him to help to help you walk in love. I
like to ask God everyday to set a guard at the door of my mouth and lips and keep my thoughts and emotions captive to the obedience of Christ. Pursue love, make a conscious decision to love no matter what. The more you know God the more you will be able to love others by living in Christ and through Christ. 💜
