Isaiah 53:4-5 amp.
Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. [Matt. 8:17.] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
With Easter coming, I thought it important to come back to our roots. By our roots I mean when we gave our lives to our Lord Jesus, when our lives started to transform and when He gave us a new heart and made us a new creature in Him. That glorious day when all the heavens rejoiced because we gave Jesus our lives. On that day He made us in right standing with our Father (righteous) so we could have eternal life with Him. For our iniquities (the ones we were born into really) we deserved nothing less than eternal separation from the presence of God. In our natural bodies it might not seem that bad, but when we will die our bodies will be destroyed and our spirit (which is eternal) needs God like the air we breath now. Our Father, by His grace, decided to send His son to live 33 years in earth. He preached about the Kingdom of God ( the Gospel), the Kingdom which comes to live within us (when we invite Jesus in) for 3 years and was tortured and died an horrible death, to the point where He asked His Father why He abandoned Him. But He raised from death and now sits at the right side of our Father, interceding for us. Of course, we cannot forget that by ascending to Heaven He sent the Holy Spirit to live in us, to help, teach, guide and comfort us. Jesus did all that also so we would have peace, well being, healing and be made whole. My point is not one is holy, only the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is. If we are saved, we must be continually grateful and thankful. God’s amazing grace is with us all the time, we can ask for it whenever we need it. There is no reason to fear God, He does not want to be feared; He deserves and want reverence from us. If we are not all healed and don’t have constant peace yet, no panic is necessary. Our relationship with God is one that will last forever, every day we change a little, everything is a process and He has His perfect timing for everything in our lives. But we must seek Him first, pursue peace, love and forgive quickly. Don’t seek Him for what He can do for you, seek Him for His will and the revelation and depth of Him and His Word. We change all the time to become more and more Christlike, that is the ultimate goal. He will provide for all your needs if all you need is Him. There is such peace in not searching for answers about life anymore! Glory to God for His goodness, His love and His amazing grace! 💜
