Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.

Born again believers in Christ Jesus are blessed beyond what we ever imagine. We are the righteousness of God, our sins are forgiven, we can have an amazing relationship with God, and we will live on forever in Heaven with Him. It truly blows my mind. God is always good, and He loves us beyond what we can imagine, even when we fall. Then we read this verse in the Book of Matthew, and think “Wow! If God is so good, I can ask Him for anything”, and we start praying to win the lottety, have a very expensive car and move in a castle. Does God care about you? Yes. Does He wants to provide for you? Yes. But God wants to provide for all of your needs. Not all of your worldly desires. Can you pray for a spouse? Of course. God does not want us to be alone all our lives. What God really want you to pray about is His gifts, his promises, his blessings, and what we are supposed to pray about, stated in the Word, like putting on the full amour of God, bringing our thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ, etc. We cannot focus on our needs. Our focus has to be on God first. First in everything. Then, He will provide for all your needs. When you pray and knock, ask for divine things. Knock for God to grant you discernment, wisdom, and understanding. Ask Him to bless you according to His will, cause He alone knows what is best for you. God’s favorite prayers to hear are “Increase my faith in You”, “I trust You”, “Change me Lord”, and “Use me Lord”. At one point in your spiritual life you really have to come to terms with this truth: It is not about you. It is all about what we can do to serve Him. So ask and knock hard for spiritual, divine things and believe. God will answer! ❤
